The position that, if domesticated animals have moral value, we have a moral obligation to continue to bring them into existence is nonsense. If that were a valid argument, we would have a moral obligation to continue to bring into existence severely disabled humans who we have genetically engineered to do dangerous or unpleasant tasks.

Moreover, talking about ending domestication as the "extinction of species" is also problematic. These animals were selectively bred by us. They are not part of the ecosystem. Indeed, their presence in large numbers is destroying the ecosystem.
