It’s not futuristic at all. Those who reject the Abolitionist Approach often argue (correctly) that it cannot be right if domestication is morally acceptable. So domestication becomes a central issue in the discussion of whether we have an obligation to promote the abolition of all animal use and recognize veganism is a moral imperative.
